Obituary of Earl Sherman
SHERMAN – Earl (1924 – 2018)
With his family by his side Earl peacefully passed away on May 7, 2018 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, at the age of 94 years. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Beth (nee Burrows). Earl will be lovingly remembered by his son John (Gail) and daughter Ann Ferguson (Shawn). Cherished grandfather of Delaina, Julianne, Sarah and Jane and lovingly great grandfather to Luke, Clark, Jake and Vada.
Earl joined the Ontario Provincial Police in 1950 and retired in 1982 when he took great pleasure in hobby farming, a big fan of anything agricultural!
He was a proud veteran of World War II, and a long time member of both the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Masonic order.
Special thank you to Dr. Brian Shaw, the D3 nursing staff and for the kindly care given at the Empire Living Centre. Earl will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. In his own words “I’ve had a great life!”
As per Earl’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home with online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
