CHANDLER-PAYNE: Mary Etta
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Mary was the beloved wife of George Payne and the late Ian Chandler, she was 87 years old. Loving mother of Darby Chandler of Sudbury, Edward Chandler and his wife Cindy of Whitehorse, Frances and her husband David Rupay of Vancouver, Maria and her husband Christian Trombert of France and Bill Chandler and his wife Maria of Ottawa. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Samantha, Melissa, Amy, Jay, Jordan, Matthew, Beverly, Nicholas, Ian, Hayden, Graham, Claire, Alexander, Aimee and great-granddaughter Leah. Mary will be sadly missed by George's children Vivian of Toronto, Teresa and her husband Dennis Dolbeck and Cynthia and her husband Paul Laperrierre all of North Bay. Mary taught at Centennial School, and worked with the Ministry of Education before retiring in 1989. She was very active in her Community, serving with the Community Counselling Centre and on Non Profit Housing Board. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 12noon until time for a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Her ashes will be interred in the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to Doctors without Borders or Shriner’s will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
