McFARLANE: Margaret Hart "Peggy"
After over 101 years of a full life Peggy passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on November 27th, 2013. Peggy was the loving wife of Walter for 56 years when he died in1991. She was the mother of Betty (Edward) Hancock who predeceased her in 2010. She will be fondly remembered by her son Walter (Judy) and missed by her four grandchildren Linda (Mazen), Brian (Joanne) in Ottawa, Scott in North Bay and Ross (Melissa) in Windsor. As well she has four great grandchildren - Lindsay in Australia, Blair in Ottawa, Lauryn in Windsor and Grayden in North Bay. Peggy was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 27, 1912 and was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Alex Sharp and by her sister Elizabeth (Betty) McKechnie. She came to Canada with her family in 1953 and began a new life which included Calvin Presbyterian Church, Sons of Scotland, Burns Club as well as her affiliation with the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be remembered by many relatives in Scotland whom she often visited over the years. Many thanks to Barclay House for their support and a special thanks to the nursing staff at A-1 Section of the NBRHC. As per Peggy's wishes there will be no visitation or service.
