Obituary of George Jiri Zeman

Peacefully in his sleep on Monday November 10, 2014. Beloved father of George Zeman Jr. (Newassa) of Virginia, Peter Zeman (Lisa) of Sudbury, Frank Zeman (Chantal) of Gananoque, Natalie Collins (James) of Wyoming, Maia Zeman (Steve) of Kitchener and stepfather of Bartek Mankowski of Saskatchewan and Dariush Zeman of North York. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Tyson (Ashleigh), Bailey and Marshall Zeman, Eva, Zeman and Eli Collins, Delphine Zeman and his great grandchild Ethan Zeman. Predeceased by his grandson Spencer. Beloved uncle of Jana Anderlova and Michal Mlejnek and their families. Dr. Zeman studied at the Masaryk University in Brno Czechoslovakia, practicing as a specialist there. He then worked in Ghana for 3 years, before coming to do a residence in Saskatoon in 1969. He then obtained his fellowship in Edmonton, moving to North Bay in 1972, practicing until 2013. Visitation will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Calvin Presbyterian Church on Saturday November 22nd at 11 am. Cremation will follow at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
