To George's family, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We did not know, until this rainy morning, that we had lost our cherished friend. The last time I spoke to your dad I asked if there was anything he needed us to do, and as always, his reply was "Sweetie, just always be my friend." We had a wonderful dinner with him in late fall and it was magical. He loved to sit at the head of the table, with candles lit, and tell us stories, always with his usual wittiness and flair. I don't know why we didn't know until today that we had lost our friend, and I'm sorry to not have been there, but he knew how much we loved him, and we always knew for certain he loved us. "Sweetie," will now be whispered to me, and I am blessed beyond words. Please know we are thinking of all of you and we hope you find comfort in knowing how much he loved his family. An amazing life, well lived. Colette & Claude.

My condolences to Dr. Zeman's family and a big thank you for sharing him with so many. One of his greatest gifts, aside from being so skilled in his profession, was the ability to to bring a feeling of peace and genuine comfort to those going through the most frightening of times. I hope he knew how much he was appreciated and loved. I remember him talking about how he missed his mother. How befitting that he helped keep so many other mothers healthy. Chi Miigwetch Dr. Zeman.

Dear family, I had the priviledge to be by his side in the operating room for over 34 years. We shared many a night with a STAT C-section . He would always greet us with a smile, even though he had been up all night. He had a quirky sense of humor, he still retained much of his Czech humor!He would recite some Czech poetry , then giggle and translate what he had just said. He was very organized, predictable with his precise surgeries, so easy to anticipate, that he was a breeze to work with. Oh! did I tell you we had a nickname for him? The RED ZEDD! His red hair was always well groomed. He truly gave his "all" to his patients, and his patients knew they were getting the very best! His greatest accomplishements : his children. I could always get him to smile the moment I asked about his brood. My very last memory was Dr. Z calling me aside in the OR , and he opened his phone to show me the photos of his children and grandchildren.. How lucky was I! Rest in Peace Dr. Zeman, It was my pleasure !

To the family of dr.zeman,i will alway's remember dr.zeman as a kind gentle soul.he was my doctor for my two beautiful girl's and also for surgrie's that I needed,i would tell him dr.zeman I am so scared to get put asleep his response was you will do fine and you will never know if you don't wake up with a big smile on his face.i thought the world of him and wish we had more doctor's like him he was the best,rip dr.zeman you will alway's be in our heart's.

Dr. Zeman delivered my son Alexandre 12 years ago. Thanks to his quick wit and expertise, my son was delivered safely and remained healthy. I'm sure we are just another drop in the bucket, but know that we will be forever grateful for all that he has done for us. Rest In Peace Dr. Zeman. God Bless!

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr Zeman would always come into the bank and make sure that he said "Hi to me. He always asked how my family was and to make sure that I said "hi" to my father-in-law Paul. Great stories about how they would fish on Lake Kipawa or spend time with Dr Jean Rochefort. I know he really enjoyed all his time with his family at the cottage as well.
