MORRISON: Katherine Bernice With sadness, the family of Kathie Morrison announces her sudden death at age 89 on Sunday, December 7, at Kingston General Hospital. She was the loving daughter of the late Harold and Cora Barker, beloved wife of the late Roddy Morrison and devoted mother of the late Brian Wiles. Kathie is survived by her brother Bob Barker, his wife Sinikka, and nephews Bruce and Doug. She was a doting 'grandma' to Thomas and she will be sadly missed by Roddy's sisters, nieces and nephews and her many friends in North Bay and Jocko Point. Throughout her life, Kathie was an active member of her community and many benefited from her commitment to service, including Big Sisters of North Bay, Jocko Point's Board of Directors and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Kathie was a proud veteran of World War II service and a member of 406 Squadron RCAF Alliance and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 599. A memorial service for Kathie will be held on Monday, December 22, at 1pm at Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay; reception to follow at the same location. Friends and family are invited to leave online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
