Kathie will be missed by her both her daughter in law and grandson, Peter Yagminas. We will always cherish the last six weeks that we had with her in Kingston. She enjoyed Peter taking her to Red Lobster and watching the hockey games together. She had so much fun at my company Christmas pot luck. Now she is back with Roddy and Brian. Rest in peace! Always loved.

This is one of Kathie's favourite recent stories about Thomas: She was lying on the couch resting during one of Thomas's visits. Thomas asked her how old she was, and she told him she was 89. He thought for a minute, then said, "That's really old, huh?" Kathie then explained that Thomas was learning his numbers at school and had a good laugh.

Kathie was so very proud of her Air Force uniform -- and of her service in the Forces. As can be seen in the photo, she was still able to wear the uniform in 2010! A year or so after the photo was taken at the Legion, she donated the uniform to the museum at the Base in North Bay.

Katherine was a wonderful angel. She was the first person to come over and make us feel like part of the Jocko Point Community when we first moved here. She always had a smile on her face when she saw you and had a heart of gold. My dearest neighbor Kathy you will be missed dearly you and your wonderful husband Roddy. You love each other so very much that you could not part for very long. Rod and Kat I know you walk in peace now and are smiling down on those you cared for and loved. I had a angel on earth and now I have two in heaven. Sadly missed but never forgotten.
