Obituary of Bessie Iola Milne

Milne, Bessie Iola (nee Barber) 1934-2012 Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Lovingly remembered by her children Weir Milne (Wendy) of Burlington, Ron Milne (Alice) of North Bay, Shirley Mattchet (Earl) of Bracebridge and Shelley Milne of North Bay. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shelley, Warren, Jessica, Kayla, Tracey, Eric, Lisa, Lindsay and great-grandchildren Keavin, Brooke, Morgan and Carson. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Iola Barber, sister Shirley Barber, former husband Weir Milne, daughter-in-law Myra Milne and son-in -law Brian Pratt. Bessie will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bessie was born in Hotham, Ontario on December 3, 1934. She was an active member in the First Baptist Church Mission Circle and Sunday school teacher throughout the years. She volunteered to help with Cubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and Brownies. She was a Zellers employee for over 20 years. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will held at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired, donations to the First Baptist Church-Mission Circle, North Bay Regional Health Centre-MRI Fund or YMCA- Strong Kids Campaign will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
