Dan was a spirited contributor to the profession of Independent Loss Adjusting and his participation were significant and lasting. We were fortunate to have Dan serve the Canadian Independent Adjusting Association as Ontario Regional President which would have taken time from his family and business. Dear Gillian and family, It is with great regret that I type this note of condolence to you and your family. In my 37 yrs of Adjusting, Dan Spencer was always my mentor. I could always pick up the phone to ask for assistance from him. A great man, and a great mentor. I believe that I am the Adjuster that I am...because of Dan Spencer. He will be greatly missed

Dear Gillian: It is with deep sorrow (and shock) that I just heard of the passing of your beloved husband Dan. I'm truley sorry for your loss. Dan was definately quite the character and one of the best insurance adjuster's I met and worked with. Dan offered me a job in North Bay back in 1977, but I turned him down and regretted it. However, I did make the move here and worked on several claims with Dan. He taught me allot about adjusting claims. No one can replace this special man, and I know the family will miss him dearly.
