To say I was shocked to hear of Karen's demise is putting it mildly. The last time I spoke to her she was full of life. Karen and I go back to our days as Directors of the North Bay Chamber of Commerce as well as my buying clothes from Karen & Myron at their store on Shireff Ave. Please accept my sincere condolences to Myron, Shannon and all the Family. Whether Karen was a boss, friend or relative she always treated me with respect and was not shy when telling me that she loved me. Her immediate family, who were her backbone through thick and thin, good or bad, happy or sad were always there for her, too. Myron, Sean and Shannon - may the goodness and love of your hearts carry with you forever, the sound of her wonderful laugh and the good times shared.

Karen was a lovely and enjoyable lady. Even though we've known Myron longer, we have known Karen 30 years, since our children's(now adults) shared school activities. Living in William Place close to Karen & Myron gave us many opportunities to sit and share and laugh during our conversations over the past years. Karen will be greatly missed and our hearts go out to Myron, Shannon and Sean with the hopes that all the happy memories will help them through this time of sorrow.

Shannon, Sean and Mr Taylor – I was so very sad to hear about Mrs Taylor’s passing. I have such fond memories of her and of how much fun we all had together 40ish years ago in my youth, whether it was on Trout Lake, at Birthday parties, sleep-overs, or at Morbark events. I know that she and my mom were really good friends back in those days, and in a way it comforts me to think that perhaps the two of them have already met up at the Pearly Gates. I had such respect for her as a child that to this day I cannot bring myself to calling her Karen. She will always be “Mrs Taylor” to me (and for the same reasons Mr Taylor, you won’t be hearing me call you Myron!). And she was always so good to my sister Erin and myself. I remember how proud she was that Erin took her first steps as an infant while staying with you guys at your place in Ferris while we were out of town. Another example of just how intertwined our lives were back in those days. I have shared the news of her passing with my dad and sister, and on behalf of the entire McGinn family, we do want to relay our deepest sorrows for your loss. We wish that we were nearby to share memories and stories in person, but we are reassured that it is those wonderful memories that will keep her alive forever.
