Obituary of Rose Moher

MOHER, Rose (nee Hanley) Passed away in her home (Empire Living Centre), on Friday October 28th 2016 at the age of 94. Rose was the beloved wife of John for 58 years, and loved mother of Michael (Ellen) of Unionville, Fr. Peter of Sudbury, Mary of Huntsville, and Tim (Connie) of Kitchener. Fond memories will be cherished by her grandchildren Jackie (Peter) Kelly, Rosie (Scott) Gowland, John (Deb) Moher, Lauren, Martin, Keith, Christopher, Patrick, Alex and Aidan. Beloved Great Grandma of Hannah, Alice and Lincoln. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary, her sister Josephine, and brothers John and Willie. Rose & John moved to North Bay in 1948 from Belleville. She was a part time teacher and full time Mom. After retirement, she enjoyed travel, spending time with friends and family, and playing bridge. Rose was an involved member of the Pro-Cathedral Parish, & the CWL. She was the grateful recipient of “The Bellelle Guerin Award” for long term and generous service within the League. She thoroughly enjoyed the last nine months in her own apartment at the Empire. Family will be receiving friends at the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016.
