It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden death of Kathleen Hewitt who passed away in her home on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015. She was in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Hewitt. Cherished mother of Michael (Anita Paquin), Jeffrey (Cynthia Mantle), Patricia Burton (Sam Scarfone), Karen Groulx (Richard) and Kevin (Nicole) . Proud grandmother of Adam, Carolyn, Brady, Jackson, Christopher and Candace, great-grandmother of Elijah. Kathy will be sadly missed by her 10 siblings Len Barlow (Karen), June Cochrane (Jake predeceased), Jean King, Sid Barlow, Brian Barlow (Helen), Bill Barlow, Michael Barlow (Rose), Shirley Barlow, Sandra Clarke, John Barlow and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Kathy dedicated her passion and energy to her family, creative pursuits, and furthering public education through her many years as a school board trustee. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, July 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31st in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired, donations to Free the Children or a charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
