It was a hot and sunny day as I remember and Shayna's cousin were at her house for a visit playing so they all wanted to come over and play on my swing set. So me being fearless decided to swing on the top bars that hold the swing set together well little did i know when I went to jump backwards my dearest friend Shayna thought she would push me as I jumped backwards, well we all know that didn't end well... I fell backwards causing my left arm to fall underneath my back towards my right arm and from that day on when people asked me how I broke my arm I tell them my friend Shayna did. I'll never forget Shane came running thinking it was Shayna and her cousins but it was me. That is how my arm got broken... I stll remember it like it was yesterday, I can actually picture in my head exactly what she was doing her reaction after cause I kept blaming her but in the end I got over it. Now I have a memory of her with me forever.

When Shayna was about 3 years old,she was spending the day with her grandparents. The T.V. Was on and on the program playing the lady said it was of European design. Shayna turned to us and said Grandma,that lady said your a peein,I!m not a peein! Rick and I had a great laugh over that!

When i lived next door to shayna, my daughter and my friend Rob, wanted to go fishing in trout creek. we were going for trout...so shayna couldnt have been more then 5 yrs old and she wanted to go with us...after a few minutes shane finally said ok...so off we go...well shayna brought this tiny little kiddys pole with her, as we all brought real poles. so theres shayna hooking them, left right and center...by my surprise!! ...well kayla was getting upset ..not even a bite! so...shayna lets her try her rod, and still no fish!! well kayla was getting upset...cause we all got (skunked)...and little miss shayna caught all the fish that day with her wee rod.i was so amazed with that little rod...she hooked 6 trout that day....will never forget that day ...shayna was so happy and teased kayla all the way home..

When Shayna was a young girl of about 7 or 8, she came down to Brampton with her grandmother, Dianne Lacourciere to visit us for a weekend.
Having come from the north, Shayna hadn't been exposed to the different culters that have so populated our area. While driving down the main street of Brampton, she happened to see an east indian male at the bus shelter. This male was dressed in their traditional attire including a turban.
Shayna exclaimed, "Grandma, they have fortune tellers here!".
She truly felt that she had come to the land of Aladdin and magic carpets.

Brenda, Shane & family!! I can't get the memory of her out of my mind ever, as I remember her as a sweet little girl with such a vibrant nature!! I always enjoyed seeing her as a little girl coming over to my house (your neighbour) and just chatting with her!! I just loved her sweetness & always happy nature.. When I use to come home for a visit while living in USA!! She always made me laugh & my days so bright!! That was a delight to come back to Callander for a visit just to know she would be around to greet me & have a chat!! Forever, a beautiful young lady and last year when she celebrated her Surprise Birthday and it was rained out, but still a great time for all!! How they kept asking me if it was Ok to have the party & I said for Shanya anything!! She will Forever, leave me with so much love & a smile in my heart!! To all of you, especially for parents, Brenda & Shane, our children should never have to be buried before us. I send my Love for the loss of one amazingly beautiful, kind & sweet young lady leaving behind a short and beautiful memory to all to have shared with her so many memories!!
