My condolences to Florence's family and regrets that i was not able to attend the service. I have so enjoyed her writings published in our local Buzzer over the years. They provide a valuable history of our small but interesting community and memories of the pioneering years. I hope they can be collected and put in book form for our local library. Thank you Florence, my teacher,neighbor and friend. Rest in peace.

Florence spoke at the graduation at Phelps, addressing the graduates as a former teacher. What I remember was the wealth of knowledge she had to pass along about the school's history and the history of the Redbridge area itself. She was a well beloved lady who had cared for and has influenced many lives in her teaching career. Thank you Florence for all of the love and kindness you have given to us over the years.
