Brodhagen, Kenneth “Ken” Anthony
Ken passed away at his home in Astorville on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the age of 62, embraced by his loved ones, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Judy, and his two daughters, Dawn Knight (Eric) of Slave Lake, Alberta, and Holly Muir (Trevor) of Bonfield. He leaves behind five grandchildren Andrea, Carl, Hanna, Sylvanna and Stephanie and a great-grandson, Dante.
Ken was born in Stratford, Ontario on November 2, 1950 to Heulwen and Edward Brodhagen. He is survived by his five siblings, Victor Brodhagen (Nancy) of Stratford, Neil Brodhagen (late Barbra Wood) of Stratford, Wayne Brodhagen of Toronto, Elizabeth Brodhagen of Bayfield, and Bruce Brodhagen (Lorraine) of Stratford. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law Barbra Wood, and nephews, Michael and Johnny Brodhagen.
Ken served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 27 years, where he earned numerous commendations including a Medal of Bravery.
His family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Red Cross Care Partners and Community Care Access Centre for their care in his final days.
Memorial service to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to Daffodil Terrace Lodge, 41 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury, Ontario would be appreciated.
