Obituary of Vincent McCauley

McCAULEY, Vincent Passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Wednesday March 27, 2013, while in his 78 year. For the past 53 years Vincent has been the beloved and devoted husband of Jean (nee Vincent) and the proud and loving father of Wendy Brear (Paul), Valerie McCauley (Ivory Ball) and Allen McCauley (Valerie) all of North Bay. A proud grandfather “Poppa” will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Tyson, Justin, Spencer, Jackson, Austin, Emma and Olivia. The dear brother of Edna Elliott (Lou) of Deep River and Vivian Adams of Etobickoke, he was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. For over 32 years Vincent worked with Central Mortgage and Housing as an inspector. He will be remembered by many as a man of integrity who was well respected and admired by all of those who knew and worked with him. Family was important to him and as dedicated family man he was always active in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. In his younger years he coached hockey and baseball, and as a grandfather never missed an opportunity to support and attend his grandchildren’s events. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed time hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, snowmobiling and supervising his family’s projects. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 – 9 pm. and again on Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm until time for services in the chapel at 3:00pm. Cremation will follow.
