MOSELEY-WILLIAMS: Gerald
Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by members of his family, on Monday, January 28th, 2013. Gerald was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Anne “Betty” (nee O’Rourke), he was 87 years old. Dearly loved father of Kelly (Venise) and their family Daniel (Candace), Alexis, Laura; Patrick (Debbie) and their family Brendan, Aaron (Tamara), Lauren and great grandson Jayson; Bernard (Sharon) and their family Kate, Erin, John Henry; Bradley (Stuart) and their family Benjamin, Michael; Dennis (Sherri) and their family Ella and Mia. Dear brother of Barbara Reid and Elizabeth Wiegerinck. He was predeceased by his parents Thurston and Mabel Moseley-Williams and by his siblings Mary Barrett, Derry, Ted and Walter (killed while serving during WWII). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Gerald served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He and Betty were married at St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church on March 17th, 1956. Gerald worked as a shoe salesman and then travelled the North as a Commercial Shoe Broker for 50 years, he enjoyed every year of his career. He was an active member of the Kinsman Club in North Bay, the Association of Canadian Travellers, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 and the #406 Wing Alliance. He had a good life and had many friends. His five sons considered him their best friend. To them, he sang a little and whistled a lot. Visitation for Gerald will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 2nd, from 12noon until time for a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.
