Obituary of Larry Arnold Sweig

Sweig, Lawrence – (1933-2012) With profound sadness, the Sweig family announces the passing of Larry Sweig on December 14, 2012 at his home in North Bay, Ontario after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry died peacefully surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Jane (nee Dutton), his children Michael, Joanne (Scott), Arthur (Rosemary) and Matthew (Michelle).  He also leaves his brother Raymond (Helen) and sister Joyce (deceased) (George). Larry was an adoring grandfather to Elise, David, Johnathan, Steven, Lauren, Zachary, Joshua,  Henry and Jack. He was a deeply loved Special Grandpa to his six great-grandchildren. From 1967, until his retirement in  2005, Larry owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart on Cassells Street, North Bay. He dedicated his life to serving his customers and formed deep and lasting friendships as a result.   The family would like to thank Dr. Allie Nodwell, Heather McGuinty and Scarlett Cuthbertson for their special care and support during our time of need. As per Larry’s final wish the close family will gather privately to remember his life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
