Obituary of Doreen Elizabeth Lariviere

Lariviere, Doreen Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Doreen is predeceased by her beloved husband the late Steve Lariviere on 2009. The respected and much loved mother of Steven JR and his wife Amanda, and Shannon Lariviere (John Dikken-predeceased in 2005). She was a devoted and precious grandma D to Zackary and Zane Dikken and Kaya Lariviere. Doreen is predeceased by her parents Dougald Kerr in 1979 and Beulah (nee Descotes) in 2002 and baby sister Dale Kerr in 1950. Survived by her sister and brother-in-law Dawn and Ernie Bellaire. She will be lovingly remembered by her father- in- law Regis Larviere of Kipawa and was predeceased by her mother-in-law Marian in 2000. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and by her canine buddies Jesse and Marley. Born in Montreal, Q.C. on September 3, 1946. Doreen graduated at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing on November 20, 1967. She then started working in North Bay as a Registered Nurse and quickly moved up to become the Head Nurse in the OR and then finished her career as the Director of Occupational Health. Doreen was on the Board of Directors at Calvary Pentecostal Temple. She always had a strong faith and was very involved with her church. She spent her life helping others, she has touched many lives and will be missed by all. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MARTYN FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends at Calvary Pentecostal Temple 271 Ski Club Road North Bay on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Temple on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by the burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Northern Cancer Research, Calvary Pentecostal Temple Children’s Education/ Youth and Missions or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Canada.
