Dear Steve and Shannon, My deepest sympathies to you and your families. Losing your parents is never easy. That place they hold in your heart will remain with you always. When ever your mom walked into an arena, she brightened up the room. Her smile and upbeat demeanor was infectious and left everyone in a positive mood. She left this world a better place and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to you all. Take comfort knowing that your dad is happy having his soul mate by his side and our parents are probably sitting back watching ringette videos :)

Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to your family in the loss of a wonderful lady. She worked with my husband at the North Bay Hospital and will be remembered fondly dressed up in her nun habit with Pat Cliche at many events. She knew how to have fun but also had a very loving side and certainly walked her beliefs as she shared them. We have kept in touch with her over the years and looked forward to her newsy letters and will miss hearing from her. We had no idea that she was so ill and feel badly that we weren't there to say at least good-bye. Tony is presently in England dealing with some family matters and wanted me to extend our sympathy and also to let you know how she really impacted our lives over the years. God Bless you all and give you some measure of peace as you walk this very difficult journey.

Dearest Shannon, Stephen, Dawn and families: We send our love and prayers to each one as you process all that is happening in your lives. We were deeply saddened to learn of Doreen's passing this week. Our brief telephone visit with her on Tuesday will long be cherrished in our hearts. It was an honor to have known this lady; her friendship, humor, singing and who would ever forget those leadership meetings that always ran into "overtime". In her life of service much was accomplished for the Kingdom of God. Only eternity will reveal the countless people who were touched in some way by her influence. May God bless you with peace, love and hope as you celebrate her life of 66 years.

Our sincere condolences go out to Doreen's family. We were so saddened to hear of Doreen's illness and death. She was such an inspiration to us both, and such a joy to be around. As we are still in the U.K. we are unfortunately unable to attend the funeral.

Doreen was an inspiration of such a Godly woman. No one ever had to feel anxious to approach her to ask her to pray with you , or to share a personal burden with her . She listened with such kindness and a willingness to share your need through prayer with immense sincerity. Her gift of poetry and voice to sing were inspirational . She will be very much missed by all who knew her .

Dear Steven, Amanda, Kaya, Shannon, Zach and Zane. My heart is very heavy for all of you right now and I pray that God will comfort you during this time. What stands out so much to me about Doreen was her excitement everytime God used her to witness the love of Jesus with those around her. She truly 'ceased the moment' and used every opportunity she could. Even during her difficult times of surgery - always loving others. Such a beautiful woman of faith and inspiration - someone to look up to and so admire. It was a great honour to be her friend and share so many great times with her and Steve. Blessings and much love to all of you.
