Obituary of Friedrich Bernhard August Saeger

SAEGER –Friedrich Bernhard August “Freddie” The Saeger family sadly announces Fred’s death at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday May 8, 2012, six days after his 82nd birthday. Fred will be sadly missed by his daughter Adelaide Saeger (James Forsyth) of North Bay, and sons Christoph of Renfrew, Martin of Whistler, B.C., and Felix also of North Bay. Predeceased by his wife Adelheid (nee Wendler) he will be fondly remembered by his sisters Hanna and Elfriede in Germany , and his brother Helmut in Toronto. Fred came to Canada in 1955. He first worked as a social worker for the Children’s Aid Society in New Liskeard before joining the staff of the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital where he was Chief Social Worker for 29 years. Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place with no services to be held. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at The North Bay Regional Health Centre for all their care and compassion. If desired donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
