WALKER: John
Today, it is with a very heavy heart, that our family says good-bye to John. He fought a brave & courageous battle. John was a devoted, loving husband, grandfather and great grandfather.
John leaves behind his wife & best friend of 31 years Claudette (nee Tourangeau), children Treina, Trevor (Karen) of Ottawa, Julie (Mike) of North Bay, 7 grandchildren and one great grandson. He was predeceased by his parents John & Bella Walker. John leaves behind a sister Gloria Levesque (Leo) of North Bay and many nieces and nephews. Pursuant to John’s wishes, there is no service. Cremation to take place immediately. John’s family would especially like to thank Heather McGuinty of the NECCAC, the Callander Lakeside Medical Clinic and all the wonderful VON staff. Donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the VON. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
