I wrote this dad, moments after your passing. It was the only way I knew how to express what I was feeling. Grampa, you sometimes wonder why life takes us on these crazy rides and why things happen the way that they do, at a young age you opened my mind and made me realize that there is so much out there and I have many choices in life and by making the "right ones" will bring me happiness. Well, once again you were right, I believe that all the choices that I have made ( good and bad ) have landed me where I am now, happy, working at something I love and in love with someone very special!!! And I just want to thank you for planting that positive seed in my head when I was little and also for all the great knowledge you passed on to us. WE LOVE YOU GRAMPA you will be missed sooooo much.

Those of you who know me well have heard this story before but it is one of my favourites...when I was about 15 or 16...my Dad and brother, Trevor...thought it would be funny to scare the crap out of me. They hid around the corner of our kitchen and lit a cherry bomb fire cracker and threw it on my lap. I was sitting at the kitchen table eating soup and reading and didn't notice the fire cracker until it went off. I immediately burst in to tears and thought I had been shot. The two of them almost had tears in their eyes from laughing so hard...hahahahaha...thanks guys.

Though I never met Mr Walker I have the honor and privilege to know his wonderful daughter Julie. Went through the horrible experience of losing my father at the age of 49 when I was 29 and its an experience that is horrifying. A father is a parent, a mentor, a friend, and is always supposed to be there. Though we tend to think that they are gone when they pass, they are always there in our thoughts and in our hearts with all the pleasant memories that live on through us. Though we can't pick up a phone or write an email to them anymore...they are even closer now and will find another way to guide us in our life journey. You raised a great daughter Mr Walker, and I will be able to meet you through your daughter and all the wonderful things she has to say about you and the way she feels....in our thoughts and prayers Mark & Patricia
