I am 57 years old and Mrs. Molineux taught me grades 1,2, and 3 at ET Carmichael Public school in the same classroom over two years. She was the most amazing teacher, the type I wished would teach my children in their early grades, one who demonstrates patience, dedication, and determination. Her gentle, firm manner made my class excel at our work and most of us were accelerated as a result. I will forever remember her and talk about her with my children. I attempted to introduce them to Mrs. M at the Empire Living Centre on two occasions but she was napping and unable to hear the knock at her door. I understand she became quite hard of hearing. I regret that they couldn't meet the lady that started my very long and successful educational journey, but perhaps the stories will suffice. Her obituary captured her life beautifully, and I thank the family for sharing her with me from nine-to-three, five days a week in 1960 and 1961. Oh, to have compared her raspberry pie to my own mother's!
