Obituary of Isabelle Rose Rainville

Rainville, Isabelle Rose (nee Guilbeault) Died peacefully at the Mattawa Hospital with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 11th 2012 at the age of 92 years. Dear wife of the late Phil Rainville. Loving mother of Louise Rainville Butler, Pierre (Rosemary), and Paul (Mary Lou). Beloved grandmother of Kareena, Matthew, Nathan, Allan, Tracy, Brandon and Ryan. Dearly loved great-grandmother of Wade, Sarah, Cody, Emma, and Liam. Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Rose Guilbeault, her brother Rev. Romeo Guilbeault, and sisters Rhea Guilbeault and Noella Ribout (late Armand). Isabelle was born in Klock’s, Ontario on April 14, 1919, lived there as a child before moving to Mattawa at age 5. Isabelle was a very community-minded person who enjoyed many volunteer pursuits and has been honoured as a life-time member of both the Catholic Women’s League and the Mattawa Hospital Auxiliary in recognition of her many years of dedicated service. She was also recognized by the province of Ontario for her dedication as a volunteer. For the past twelve years, Isabelle has been a resident of the Algonquin Nursing Home where she remained actively involved in the many day-to-day activities there. She was loved by the staff and fellow residents, and will be remembered for her quick wit and engaging personality. Friends may call at St. Anne’s Church, Mattawa, on Saturday January 14th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Spring interment of ashes at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
