Dear Joan and family I am so sorry to learn of Danny's passing. I can remember his warm and welcoming smile and laughter whenever you were with my parents or if l met up you on my own. I have been away from North Bay for quite a few years but my Mom or Debbie always keep me up to date on neighbour's and friends. As neighbours, it was always a pleasure to see Danny and Joan in the yard, around their pool or sharing dinner with our parents, Evelyn and Frank. Our parents were always joking and laughing with each other. And it was that infectious smile, the pat on the shoulder, or the pretend wrestling moves coming from Danny that would influence us children and have a life-long effect on us forever. I grew up around the Wilkes family and Danny was my hero. Danny jr. & I would dress up in his playing jerseys. He was a true competitor in all sports and was loved by all around him for his great positive attitude and smile. Danny Wilkes left his mark in North Bay as a true gentleman. Condolences to the family, and know he will be long remembered.

Dear Joan, Danny, Jodi,Nancy and families: We are saddened to hear of Danny's passing. He was, without question, one of the most likeable people you could ever meet. I got to know Danny way back in 1977 when he brought me on board the North Bay Jr A Trappers. Every time you saw Danny, you were met with the biggest smile and an arm around you or a pat on the back. Never did a negative word come from him. We all loved him as players and that continued as we grew into men. Nancy Ann and I have you in our prayers.
