Jeff, Nancy and families: We were away vising kids in southern Ontario when we heard of the news of Muriel's death. We are home and will pay our respects on Saturday but I want to tell you of the numerous times we met your mother/grandmother/great grandmother in the mall or on the street or in the grcery store in the last number of years. She always greeted us with her smile, boisterous hello and a joke. Tom, my husband, would ALWAYS come back with another joke which would make her laugh out loud. She definitely was one in a million and I know she will join your dad, my mom, dad and all her relatives and friends in heaven and they will be living it up with smiles, laughter and love, looking down on all of us and sending guardian angels to keep us safe until we can join them in celebration. She was a good woman and deserves her time of rest. So sorry for your loss.

There are people you meet in life that leave a lasting impression . Muriel was one such person . A lady of grace and style who openly shared her love for life and laughter from the heart . I met her a handful of occasions and sometimes when I ran into her she would get my mother and I mixed up calling me Elsie and my mom Ivy ... then made a wise crack when corrected . The Chester family would go on vacation always the last 2 weeks of July to visit the Armstrong's on Trout Lake it was going to be so exciting to see Aunt Muriel and Uncle Harold and my cousins Jeff, Nancy & Robert. Aunt Muriel always cried out of joy when we arrived and out of sadness when we left. Spending those 2 weeks with the Armstrong family is and was the best fun ever and is implanted in my memories of North Bay & the Armstong family forever. The one thing I envied was Muriel 's love for her children and the Armstrong family bond. The thing that I loved about Muriel was her big heart , love for her children and the Armstrong family bond. She is and always will be so proud of her kids and how they cherished her as we all did. love you guys a bunch with fond memories of Trout Lake.

I loved Aunt Muriel with all my heart. She brought love, comfort and laughter with open arms to all her family and friends. No words can express how sad it is to hear Muriel passed on but I know there are loved ones that have been waiting for her arrival in heaven.
