I was sorry to read of George’s death. I first met George while he volunteered for the Discovery Routes Trail Organization. He brought support and enthusiasm to the fund-raising efforts and event planning. George was never without a smile, laugh and willingness to help out. My condolences to Doris and the family on their loss.
Warmest regards,
Susan Christian

Sincerest condolences from the Bubnich family. George and our dad, Mike, were longtime co-workers and friends. At times we would hear George stories after the Tuesday “coffee clatch” at the Northgate Mall after they retired.

I'm sorry to hear of George's passing. It was always a pleasure to meet and talk to him when I was in North Bay. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. But we can find comfort in the memories that we have of him. RIP!

I met George at St..Andrews Church 16 years ago when I moved to North Bay. What a wonderful man to know.He was so funny and he teased me all the time about driving too fast to try and beat he and Doris to church. We were both on Council and he picked me up on the way.-that was an experience.I needed volunteers for greeting and running the elevator-he was always there to help.I have missed his presence the last few years during covid and a greater friend will be hard to find.
Doris dear, I know a bright light will be missing in your life. I am thinking about you and your family at this time. Blessings and Love to all! Joyce Boston

Q: How did you meet George?
A: I met George for the first time at the train station in Moosonee when I started to work for him with the ONC he was our boss and a very good one who help me in many ways. We lived across from George and Doris and their children were very young and I used to help out baby sitting for them. After I left Moosonee and when to Timmins they also moved to Timmins and we stayed friends. It was always very special over the years to visit and see them from time to time. He was always pleasant and asking about our boys.
Like we say so many times wish we had visited a lot more. Will keep you in our hearts our friend

Dear Jeff and family
Firstly, our condolences to the entire family for your loss.
Although I didn’t know your dad that well, any time the Hebert and Cole family united, we enjoyed his interactions and funny conversations. He liked to
Make people laugh. Our dad enjoyed his company too.
He always seemed upbeat and I hear he was funny to the end. We need to surround ourselves with more positive people like him. May we all take note of his example and pay forward his good nature and kindness.
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
Wendy Setchell
