Well Honey, I will post the last tribute and order the book. Hiliary will be able to have it and share with Camdin and Blakeley in the years to come. They will be able to read what a great "Graggy" they had.
I so miss you. Even though we had 46 years together, we had been so looking forward to the next 10 years for all the trips we going to take, the adventures we were going on, continuing being with our friends and of course our new life with the Grandkids and Mike and Hiliary.
We will never be able to do that, but know that you will be forever in my heart. There will be so many days of tears, there will also be many smiles as I remember our life together.
I love you with all my heart Nancy

Q: How did you meet Nancy?
A: A sudden and very sad loss. Nancy & I met as volunteer parents at Laurentian Public School some 30 years ago!
Our daughters were buddies & the girls - along with about another 13 classmates loved coming over to our house for sleepovers.
Nancy was a great support during my 3rd and 'surprise' pregnancy, as we chatted, we laughed at discovering some common philosophies that we shared, privately. She was the first one to visit me in the old St Jo's. Nancy was supportive of and interested in all the school volunteering we did, with the same respect and belief system in every thing she did. She knew how to be a Leader. Nancy was very much a Team player in every aspect of her life, she Walked the Walk in all her Walks. She's left a lot of paths for many Northerners to follow, as good leaders do. A Light unto Canadians. Rest In Peace now.

Q: What will you miss most about Nancy?
A: I will miss Nancys friendly face and smiles at the golf course. Nancy was very welcoming to me when I joined the course and always made sure I was welcome in her group. A dedicated and caring person who remained in Health Care field after retirement. A woman I had a lot of respect for. Although I was only a golf friend, I will miss her. I am saddened by her passing.

Nancy was a classmate at St Joe's....She had the most infectious smile. And it stayed with her at every reunion afterwards. The tributes to her speak for themselves. She was an amazing woman, nurse, wife, mom and grandmother. She left her mark on this world and that makes me smile. I hope that the memory of her smile will bring a smile to all of those who miss her.

Our most heartfelt sympathies!! Little did we know that receiving Hiliary in Sue’s daycare would open the door to wonderful memories of the three of you and the three of us. Our skiing adventures in Mattawa will be awesome highlights, especially with Nurse Nancy rushing to Bill’s side when he broke his thumb. And memories of our girls at sleepovers, with Nancy and Bill rescuing Mel whose long hair had gotten tangled and caught under the bed. After minor surgery I needed, returning home by taxi was out of the question. Nancy made room in her busy schedule to drive me home, a service I’m sure was not covered by OHIP. As was stated in the eulogy, you left us was too early Nancy. We will forever carry wonderful memories of you in our hearts. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

I am so truly sorry losing Nancy so soon. Nothing can take up the hollow space of a loving wife & grandmother, nor is there any words enough to lessen the pain.
We’ll miss you Nancy….your smile, your voice, your sense of humour, your wisdom, and your charm. We had a lovely connection texting about our grandchildren. Bless you all. Rest in peace ❤️

Bill & Hiliary,
I was so saddened to hear about Nancy, and I am beyond shocked. Her enthusiasm for life, people, the world, but especially you, Bill, and Hiliary and those grandbabies her pride and love was immense. She advocated for improvements in healthcare and was duly recognized for her leadership. But her proudest achievements were her family.
She was also a wonderful 1:1 conversationalist, who made you feel like you were her only interest when you spoke with her. She mentored so many young nurses who went on into careers of leadership. She was a true representation of what a nurse is and what nursing was. She will not be forgotten.
Sincerest condolences,
Tammie McParland

Nancy was and forever will be remembered as a courageous, passionate, generous, kind, and fiery Leader. She was a catnap-energized powerhouse of wisdom and wit, who found strength in the family she loved with all her heart.
Nancy influenced those around her to grow, to give of themselves, and to dig deep for the benefit of patients, communities, and healthcare providers.
Our world was made brighter by Nancy. Like a candle that shares its flame with others, Nancy's light will continue to shine in the many leaders she has developed, and in the many lives she has touched.
I miss you, Nancy, and am grateful to have walked together in friendship.
