I was so saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend Don. Don and I grew up together in Arnprior, ON. We played all sports. We particularly enjoyed playing hockey, softball and football. I remember up at the 'old rink' they put in a boxing ring. We had great fun boxing as well. On the day he was being inducted into the hockey hall of fame in North Bay, Ron Whyte and I called him on the phone from Arnprior and they hauled him out of the proceedings so that we could congratulate him. He was so excited to hear from us. We made trips to North Bay to visit and whenever he was in town, he would stop in to see us in Arnprior or at our cottage in Rhoddy's Bay. So many wonderful memories of my time with Don. Rest in peace my friend. Doug Pierce

Sending condolences to Barb and family, Uncle Donny will be missed by all. I fondly remember the year he had the palms of his hockey gloves redone and gave then to me to use while playing ringette.
