Linda and Brian Houston posted a condolence

It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Charlie Campbell in February of this year. He was a kind and gentle man and we always enjoyed our visits with him. We rented cottage from him for 27 years starting back in 1985. My children came along in 1980 and 1982 and to this day they still talk about going to green lake cottages. It is a memory that they will always remember and we were so lucky to have been able to come up to these cottages. Green Lake will always be in our heart as will Charlie. Thank you for letting us make memories at Greenbough Lake and sorry to all your family for your loss.

This is from Jerry and Sharon Rimkey. We are relatives of the Resmer family. My uncles and my mother knew the Campbell family very well. My uncles were good friends with all the Campbell boys specially Charlie. We have visited Charlie in the last few years a couple of times and we’re always impressed by his good health. Even at his age he was snow ploughing out his own driveway amazing. Yes I have pictures of the Campbell family with my uncles and they did a lot of fun things. Like going to dances fishing and of course having their social time. We also know the Cotnam family as he was married to Marina. So there’s been very good memories We give you our sympathy and condolences and may you remember what a great guy he was. May the Lord sustain you through this sadness and give you peace

Loved Uncle Charlie. He and Aunt Marina made me feel like a part of the family and Charlene and Cheryl and Kevin added to that. As a newcomer to Wainfleet, it sure was nice to have a second family after Lisa and I made friends on the bus to our grade 8 year.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences to all of Charlie’s family. The short time that we were lucky to be Charlie and Marina’s neighbours left us with wonderful memories and for that we will always be grateful. We hope your memories bring you comfort and peace. ❤️

Will miss our short visits when we pass through Deux Rivieres heading East or to the graveyard
that passes his door.
Always found uncle busy either in the garage or his yard.
1 day he was up on an old stepladder changing bulbs in his eaves. (course he was only 90 then)
Can only hope to nearly as agile when we are even close to his age.
