Novack, Lawrence Edward

Born at home in Mattawa on Friday January 17th, 1930, Lawrence left this world peacefully with family by his side at the Algonquin Nursing Home, on Friday November 12, 2021. They broke the mold after this character was born!  He is reunited with the love of his life, Mel "Bebe" Novack (nee Amyot). Doting & loving father of Claudette Fricker (husband Gord). Proud grandfather "Pepere" of D'Arcy Sloan (Marney Leclerc), Jody Sloan-Martyn (husband Ian), and Tracy Sloan (husband Geoff Richardson), and step-grandchildren Ken & Kym Fricker.  He was cherished by his great-grandchildren Zach, Jacob, Sloan & Rowan Martyn, Hailey Nethery, and many other step-great-grandchildren. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward & Violet Novack (nee Gilligan), his brother Lloyd, and sisters Martha & Mazie.  Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (464 Wyld St. North Bay) on Monday November 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Parish, Mattawa on Tuesday November 16th at 11 a.m.  Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at St. Theresa Cemetery, Eau Claire at a later date.  A donation to Algonquin Nursing Home would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  A huge Thank You to the wonderful staff at Algonquin Nursing Home for your loving patience and kindness given to our dad/grandfather over the past few years.
