Dear Claudette, Gord, and family: I am sorry for your great loss but so glad that Uncle Lawrence lived to the grand old age of 91. He was a wonderful uncle and always thoughtful, respectful and, as many others have said, had a great sense of humour. I recall one Christmas when I was a child and he worked for Pepsi Cola; he brought us a 'giant' coloured cardboard Santa holding a bottle of Pepsi and I and my siblings were absolutely delighted with this special seasonal gift, which we had for many years. I will miss him but know that he is reunited with his family on the other side now and probably having a wonderful time there. He had that trademark zest for life that his father had, our beloved grandfather. Wishing you peace and comfort. Brenda

Mom remembers Ed coming to witch for water at her home on Champlain Lake and bang they hit water right where he told them to dig! Eddie told her to put her hand on his and sure enough mom could feel the pull , His hands and knuckles white from holding the switch!
He in his quiet way was a great supporter of St Andrews United Church, Ruth Duval sends her deepest sympathies.

I am sorry to hear of Lawrence's passing. He was quite the character - always good for a comment and a chuckle. He certainly made me laugh. I am grateful I had the opportunity to get to know him.
