Dear Tim, Erin and the Boland Family,
Over the years I had several conversations with Your Dad mostly by phone from your office. He was a prince of a man and always the gentleman. One conversation that particularly stands out was actually quite comical. He was at your cottage a number of years ago and couldn’t get the remote to work for the TV. We chatted about every button on that remote and he ended up making a comment about having a simple on off switch. I don’t recall if he ever did get it going but I often think of him when I have hit the wrong button and try to bring the tv back to life while John is trying to watch the Leafs lose.
He lived such a long and interesting life. We know that although he is gone he will never be forgotten.
Our sincerest condolences to all of you,
Liz and John❤️❤️

Thinking of your family and sending our heartfelt condolences to you all on the loss of your beloved father/grandfather.
Even though we didn’t get a chance to meet your Dad we know what a wonderful man he was because his kids and grandkids are a reflection of him ❤️ devoted, loving and kind. He definitely passed along his sense of humour too.
We hope that you will find comfort in all of the treasured memories you have.
With lots of love, Julie, Walt, Megan, Walter & Wells

Dear Bill and family. Sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I had run into him a couple of times over the years, most recently at the Empire during a Christmas ukulele concert. He was so personable and genuinely happy to see me. Such a nice man who will be missed I’m sure.
Sincerely,
Jackie Bourdon (Halliday)

Sad to hear about Mr. Boland’s passing. I was fortunate to have known Larry for a few years, as I worked at the Empire. We shared the same last name and always joked we were long distance cousins. Such a nice kind man.

It is so heartbreaking to lose a parent at any time. What a blessing though that you had your father, grandfather and friend in your lives for so many years. Bob knew Larry from the golf club and Larry was always friendly and a gentleman. We know he will be greatly missed and we want you to know that we are thinking of you.

Larry was my dentist and my godparent! He and Marilyn were dear friends of the 3-B’s boating group and lifelong friends. The surviving members of this group currently include Marilyn, Charlie Olmsted and Therese Saya. They spent weekends touring many of the Northern Ontario lakes. As Charlie would say, Larry had the ability to know where all the rocks were on the lakes!!! He saved many a propeller from the boat group members!!!
I was blessed to attend many of their famous Grey Cup parties and marvelled at their friendship. He had the best smile and the biggest appetite. We will always love Larry and he will be dearly missed by his family and family.
Love Charlie and Nancy Olmsted

My sincere condolences to you all. Dr. Boland was our family’s dentist until he retired. I remember one time my wife was in for a difficult procedure. Darlene was very nervous about it, but Dr. Boland had such a gentle touch and so much compassion. I remember how he would come out to the waiting room periodically to give me updates. We happened to see him about two or three years ago at Twiggs. We stopped at his table to say “hello” and ended up having a very nice chat. Just a wonderful man.

My condolences to the Family of Larry Boland, Dr Boland as I knew him. He was my dentist all through my childhood years and though I am not a fan of dental work I loved having him as my first Dentist. He was a kind and gentle man, I moved away from North Bay in my early 20's and reluctantly had to find a new dentist though but none following him were every as good as he was. I was happy to run into him about 10 years ago in North Bay and see that he was still doing well. Wow what a long and beautiful life he lead. His family must be so proud of his legacy. May he rest in peace.

To Mrs. Boland, Bill, Tim, Nancy and David, our sincere condolences. As next door neighbours for almost 50 yrs we share a lot of wonderful memories...family gatherings, kids growing up together, parties, parental advice and the odd secret:)
I was fortunate enough to still get a periodic phone call and catch up visit after our home was sold, right up until Covid hit. I will cherish those memories. Dr. B always wanted to know how my family was doing. That meant a lot!
Rest In Peace Dr B. You are in our thoughts.
Luv Karen and Gerry
