MacMillan, Floyd Byron

 

Passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, he was in his 92nd year.  Beloved husband for the past 53 years of Ruby MacMillan (nee Lacroix) of North Bay.  Cherished father of Bruce MacMillan (Lorri) of Mississauga, Miles MacMillan of North Bay, Marielle MacMillan and predeceased by daughter Maria MacMillan.  Proud grandfather of Aidan, Devon, Hailey and Jayden.  Predeceased by his siblings Clair MacMillan, Grace Spencer and Ruth MacMillan.  Floyd was a Secondary School Teacher at Chippewa Secondary where he was Head of the History department and badminton coach for 25 years.  He retired in 1984.  He was a Duplicate Bridge player, golfer, avid gardener and active and dedicated member of Trinity United Church.  Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, April 13th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  Cremation to follow and internment in the spring at Forest Lawn Cemetery in the family plot.  If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre - Maria MacMillan Fund would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
