ROONEY – Laurie (nee Chirico)
Laurie slipped away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, Saturday April 7, at the age of 62.
She leaves behind her best friend and husband Peter, children Jimmy (Chrissy Braund), and Tegan (David Allen), and her precious grandkids Brayden, Ali, Ainsley, Elliott and Charlie; her siblings Mike (Carol Ann), Mary Lynne, Frank (Priscilla), Jim (Marg), Leah Anne, Peter (Peggy), John (Bill), Rob (Liz), Ken (Joanne), Bill (Heather) and Tessie, and her in laws Karen ( Mike Montcalm), and John (Deb Rooney).
Laurie died as she lived – facing situations head on with infectious optimism.
Keeping to her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be visitation at Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon and evening, 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm.
