Obituary of Elsie Tina Loewen

LOEWEN (nee Baerg): Elsie Tina Passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Nursing Home on Tuesday, February 5th, 2013. Elsie was the beloved wife of Peter M. Loewen, she was 91 years old. Loving mother of Reverend Janet Jones and her husband Reverend Andrew Jones of Beamsville, Joyce Ann and her husband David Jones of Winterbourne, Robert Loewen and his wife Reverend Marie Loewen of North Bay, Gary Loewen and his wife Margaret of Corbeil and Joan Walker (Bob Elliott) of Lakefield. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Deborah, James, Shelley, Peter, Jonathan, Tracy, Greg, Tracey and by her 13 great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Jake, Mary, Viola, Carol and Marjorie. Elsie was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Baerg, and by her siblings Ben, Peter, Justine, Alma, Edwin, Helen and Cathy. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican on Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow the service with spring burial of ashes at St. John’s Anglican Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Diabetic Foundation or the Christ Church Anglican Building Fund (cheques only) will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
