SHARP - Margaret Christena Elizabeth
Peacefully, at Cobourg on March 1, 2015, at the age of 88 years.
For fifty-seven years, Margaret was the loved wife of the late James H. Sharp, who predeceased her in November of 2008. Born in Haileybury, Ontario, on August 26, 1926 to the late William J. McKee and Christena McAuley, she was the proud and loving mother of Michael W. Sharp (Heidi) of Toronto, Christopher J. Sharp (Christine) of Cobourg, and Paula E. MacDonald (Gregory) of Anchorage, Alaska. Margaret was the loving grandmother of twin grandsons, James and Scott MacDonald, and granddaughter, Sarah Sharp. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Shortt and Nora Wilson of New Liskeard, brothers, Donald (Marjorie) McKee of Guelph and the Reverend Anderson McKee (Laurene) of Deep River, and her sister-in-law, Shirley McKee, Toronto. Predeceased by her brothers, Neil and Bill, sisters, Barbara Honsberger and Kathryn McKee, and her infant daughter, Pamela. Margaret was very blessed with family and wonderful friends, especially Margaret and James Ramsay. A long-time member of St. Brice's Anglican and later St. John's Anglican churches, she sang in the choir for many years. She was an original member of the North Bay Choral Society and a member of the YMCA for over forty years. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a steadfast donor to many charities, including those that supported third world children. She was thankful for all life's blessings. "Life has been good". In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. John's Anglican Church, 301 Main Street East, North Bay, ON. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. If desired, donations to a children's charity will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
