Peacefully at Leisureworld Care Giving Center, surrounded by her family, on Saturday April 11th, 2015, while in her 86th year. RoseMarie (nee Lalonde) is finally free after her lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. The devoted wife of the late Armand Scalise, she was the proud and loving mother of the late Louise Noble (Jack), Rudy (Sue) of Rutherglen, Carolle Charlebois of Huntsville, Debbie Sparks (Randy), of Jocko Point, Shirley Robinson (Dennis) of North Bay and Bobby (Christine) of Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Born and raised in Corbeil Rose Marie was the only child of Joe and Marie Lalonde. Following Armand's death in 1975 Rose Marie raised her family as a single parent. A private person she enjoyed time spent with her children, being a grandmother, a great grandmother and a great great grandmother. Until her vision failed she was a knitter, enjoyed walking, reading, fishing and cottage life. The onset of Alzheimer's necessitated her move to Leisureworld. The family wishes to express our tremendous thanks to the wonderful staff at Leisureworld Care Giving Center. Thank you so much for taking such good care & loving our Mother. Cremation has taken place. Rose Marie's ashes will be interred in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery with her late husband Armand and daughter Louise. A celebration of Rose Marie's life will be held at The Harbour, 30 Lees Road on Wednesday April 15th from 10:30 am until 12 pm.
