Obituary of Davidina "Davina Chandler

CHANDLER - Davina Peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan on Monday January 28, 2013 at the age of 96 years. Davina was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Thomas William Chandler, who predeceased her in 1986. The proud and loving mother of Peter and his wife Aime, and John and his wife Lynn, both of North Bay and Louise Dolan and her husband Michael, of Barrie, she will also be lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The dear sister of Jessie Cryderman of Sudbury, Margaret Hunt of London, and Helen Hughes of Burlington, she was predeceased by Ruby, Peter and Agnes. A long time resident of North Bay, Davina immigrated to Canada in 1920. A dedicated wife and mother she worked as a sales clerk in several North Bay retailers, including Marks & Spencers, Walkers Department Store and Zellers. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and crafts. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel in the spring. Interment of her ashes will be in the family plot in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
