ROBINSON: Muriel
Muriel died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the NBGH with her family by her side. She put up a valiant fight but the damage caused by a stroke on Friday was just too much for her to overcome.
Muriel was the beloved wife of the late Clifford Archibald Robinson and Gerald Robinson, she was 83 years old. Loving mother of Stephen and his wife Suzanne of North Bay, Marie Smith and Loyd Miners of Saskatchewan, Dorothy Jessup and her husband Harvey of North Bay and Mel and his wife Sandy also of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Blain Smith (Pam), Kendall Jessup (Codie Whitmell), Abbie and Jeff Robinson and by her great grandson Eric Smith. Muriel was predeceased by her parents George and Clara Cooper and by her siblings Gertrude Tendler, Hazel Rowley, Arthur, Clarence, Samuel, Roy, Harvey and Garnet. Mom loved to bake. For a number of years she supplied a number of stores and restaurants with buttertarts and date squares. Neighbors and friends would often drop in to see her, knowing that there was always a pot of tea and a plate of goodies, especially butter tarts and a friendly ear.
Cremation has occurred. Muriel's ashes will be interred in the family plot on Friday, June 1st at 12 noon in the family plot in Feronia. Her family will receive friend in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday June 1st from 1:00 PM until time for a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Society or Cassellholme Charitable Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
