Taylor, Stanley Maurice J.R.
On May 26th, 2013 at the age of 83 Stanley Maurice Taylor J.R. passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Sally (nee Smith) of 60 years. Father of Cheryl Marin, Jeffery Taylor (Karen) and Louise Shore (David). Loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Lionel Taylor and sister Beverley Risk (Bob). Predeceased by his father Stanley Taylor S.R. , mother Frederica and sister Shirley Miller. Stan started as a fireman for the ONR at the age of 16 and retired as an engineer after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Club for many years, and he was also an avid golfer and curler spending years perfecting his game. At Stan’s request there will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MARTYN FUNERAL HOME. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Special thanks to Dr. Cathers for his dedication and compassion. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Words cannot express our gratitude. God speed and safe journey Dad.
