Obituary of Alan Stanley Bodle

Bodle, Alan Stanley Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Nipissing Manor on Saturday, October 11, 2014, he was in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Myrtle Bodle (nee Gallaugher). Cherished father of Peter Bodle (Cathy) of Shanty Bay and Cynthia Demeester (Roland) of Powell River, B.C.. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Allen, Christina Youé, David Bodle, Jessica Rumble, Joshua Rumble and great-grandfather of Kailey, Lauren, Julie, Jamison and one on the way. Alan worked as a Maintenance Superintendent at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital for 31 years before he retired in 1981. Alan was a gentle soul, loved by all who knew him. He loved to fish, hunt and being with his family. He was a Founding member of the North Bay Archery Club. Respecting Alan's wishes cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium and family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service held. A special thank you to Dr. Shaw and the staff at Nipissing Manor for all of the wonderful care you gave Alan.
