Obituary of Alan Robert Etches

ETCHES - Alan Robert The Etches family sadly announces Alan's death on Wednesday March 7, 2012, at the age of 83. Alan passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor Care Centre, his home for the past 6 years. Alan was the beloved husband of the late Helen Patricia "Pat" Etches who predeceased him in 2001. Born in North Bay in 1928, Alan married Pat at St. Brice's Anglican Church on June 28 1950, and they raised their family in North Bay. He was the proud and loving father of Robert "Bob" (Linda) of North Bay, Anne South of Orillia, Donna Eastop (Brian) of Ottawa, Joe (Sandi), Patrick (Christine) and Alan Jr. (Sheila) of North Bay and the late Tim, who predeceased him in 2002. Alan will also be lovingly remembered by his ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Alan's family would like thank the staff at Nipissing Manor for their kind and caring support. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9pm. Funeral services to honour his life will be held in St. Brice's Anglican Church, Cassells St., at 11:00am on Monday March 12, 2012. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
