Obituary of Aline Marie Germaine Orchard

Orchard – Aline (nee Parent) The Orchard family sadly announces Aline’s unexpected death on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016, at the age of 86 years. Aline was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Orchard, who predeceased her in 2007. The proud and loving mother of Susan Plamondon (Dwayne predeceased), George (Gerry) and the late Jenny (Stacey Pruegger), she will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sarah, Jason and Eric Plamondon and Ashley, Amanda and Dwight Orchard, and her nine great grandchildren. Born in Haileybury, Aline was one of the nine children born to the late Zenon and Germaine Parent. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Sister Yvonne N.D.A., Lucille St.-Cyr (Claude), and Denise Corbeil (Paul). She was predeceased by her brothers Maurice (Yvette), George (Odette), Andre (late Irene), and Ronald (late Pat), and her sister Claire (late Jack O’Connor). Mom was a beautiful woman inside and out. She always had a smile on her face, and never said a mean word about anything or anyone. She was very talented in the arts, joke telling and she was a bit of a prankster. Her favourite game, right up until the end, was Chinese checkers. She will be fondly missed and admired by her family and friends for her strength. A special thank you to the Barclay Retirement Home and friends who took such great care of her. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Monday morning, February 1st from 10:30 am until time for services in the chapel at 11:30am.
