Obituary of Raymond Rogers
Ray Rogers 1926 – 2012
Raymond Eugene Rogers, formerly a resident of North Bay and Windsor, quietly passed away at Collingwood on May 23 2012. Ray was raised in Port Arthur and proudly served in the RCAF near the end of WW II. He was devoted to his wife, Laura, who predeceased him in 2010. Ray leaves their loving children and spouses, Mary and Cliff of Huntsville, Gary and Peggy of Scottsdale, Arizona, John and Beverley of Collingwood, Doug and Sue of North Bay. Ray is sadly missed by his grandchildren, Laura, Robert, David, Rebecca, Chelsea, Jason, Scott, Jim and Daniel. His great-grandchildren are Audrey, Grace and Jack. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Edith, and his older brother, Vernon. Ray enjoyed his career in management with Brewer’s Retail, followed by happy retirement years of travelling with Laura, golfing, boating and cheering for the Detroit teams. The Rogers Family, on behalf of Ray, thanks the staff at Sunset Manor, Collingwood, for their loving care and attention. Ray’s family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay on Thursday, June 28th from 1:30 pm, followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate Ray’s life at 3:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. The family requests that expressions of remembrance be directed toward The Terry Fox Foundation, The North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, or a charity of choice.
