Obituary of Lucrece Alberta Forge

FORGE – Lucrece Alberta “Lu” Peacefully, following a brief illness, at the North Bay Regional Hospital on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at the age of 99 years. Lu was the beloved wife of the late Frank Forge, who predeceased her in 1993 . The proud and loving mother of Frank and his wife Joan of Richard’s Landing she will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Roberta (Gus) and Frances (Michael) and her great grandchildren Jamie, Jessica, Kelsey and Collin. Lu was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters and will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. For many years Lu and Frank operated a tourist camp in Northern Ontario. After moving to North Bay they were very active in the Shrine Club, donating their time and talents. An awesome cook, Lu also donated her time knitting for the hospital. The Forge family extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff on C3 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their care and kindness. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Monday September 10 at 11:00am. Msgr. Norm Clement officiating. Interment of her ashes will be in the family plot in Perkinsfield , Ont. If desired donations to the Shrine Club will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
