Obituary of John A Harvey

Harvey, John Almin - passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Hospital on Monday April 20, 2015. He was born on August 5th, 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario to Bernice (nee Grader) and William Tully Harvey. He is survived by his wife Adrienne (nee Salidas), and his five loving children: Steve of Gabriola Island, B.C., Janet of Metcalfe, Ontario, Mary Ann (Randy Haskins) of Kemptville, Ontario, Pete (Nancy Duchesne) of Ingersoll, Ontario and James (Marie-Eve Michaud) of Gatineau, Quebec. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren namely: Hayden Harvey, Spencer Harvey, Jessica Perron, Mary Ann Perron, Jules Perron, Adam Perron, Brittany Beauchamp, Neil Harvey and Jacob Harvey. John was predeceased by his brother, Bill Harvey, his grandchildren Travis, and Melissa Harvey. Our father (known as Nitro Jack) enjoyed a long career at Dupont (Nipissing Works) and later Fabrene for over 35 years. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family internment will take place at a later date. A Tribute to our Father We will miss his gentle spirit, soft spoken manner, chivalry and kindness. His big smile extended to his bright eyes. We share his love of music, especially Gordon Lightfoot, and have fond memories of Dad playing his harmonica and reading Robert Service poetry to us when we were young.
