Garant, Margaret Julia (nee Simon) The oldest daughter of 12 children, first generation of Hungarian immigrants who settled in Saskatchewan under the Canadian Land Act, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Cassellholme on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016, nine days before her 93rd birthday. Beloved wife of the late Adelard Josephat Garant. Cherished mother of Eileen (David) Foster, Elizabeth (James) Westbrook, Judith (Brad) Brophey and Susan (Gordon) Davies. Proud grandmother of Kimberly (Shane), Melanie (Chris), Julia, James (Carrie), Adam (Tammy), Chad, Jennifer (Charles), Catharine (Kevin), 9 great-grandchild and special, loving nephew Robert “Bob” (Angie) Garant. Margaret will be sadly missed by her siblings. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Frank & Julianna Simon. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 12 noon – 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Family will also receive friends at the ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE 895 Ouellette Ave. Windsor, Ontario on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 from 12 noon -2 p.m.
