Obituary of Rodney Elwood Prophet

PROPHET - Rodney Elwood Peacefully at his home in North Bay, on Monday June 3rd, 2013 while in his 88th year. Rodney Elwood "Rod" Prophet was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Thora Lind, who predeceased him in 2006. The proud and loving father of Brad Prophet, Shelley Rochon (Ray) and Melody Shiels (David). He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughters Andrea & Natalie Rochon. Rod will also be sadly missed by his sister Irma Potter (George) of North Carolina, and was predeceased by his sister Doreen Berry (Harvey predeceased). Born in Englehart on March 15, 1926 Rod was a long time North Bay pharmacist, practicing here for over 54 years. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in Emanuel United Church at 2:00pm on Thursday June 6th, 2013. Interment of ashes will be at 11:30 am Friday June 7th in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.
